How do I disable or change a WiFi password?

Removing a password from your router or pods

Updated over a week ago

Using the Plume Home app, you can easily manage the WiFi passwords on your Plume Home network. Passwords can be changed for both the WPA3 and WPA2 SSIDs. If the multiple passwords feature for the WPA2 SSID is being used, you can also delete and disable additional passwords as needed.

Changing the WPA3 password

  1. Open the Network page.

  2. Tap the pencil icon on the Passwords tile of the WPA3 network.

    • Hint: The tile for the WPA3 network will display an obfuscated password along with share and pencil icons.

  3. Enter the new WiFi name (SSID) or Password and tap Save.

  4. Tap Confirm in the pop-up.

Any devices previously using the password before it was changed will be disconnected from the Plume Home WiFi network.

Managing WPA2 passwords

  1. Open the Network page.

  2. Tap the Passwords tile for the WPA2 network.

    • Hint: The tile for the WPA2 network will have a chevron pointing to the right and no other icons.

  3. Choose the Home, Guest, or Internet-only tabs to bring up the appropriate list of passwords and select the password to be modified.

  4. In the pop-up menu, choose an option to modify the password.

    • Edit - Change the password, modify shared devices on guest passwords, or modify an expiry.

    • Disable - This option disables the password until you manually reenable it.

    • Delete - Completely remove the password for the Plume Home WiFi network.

    • Enable - Reenables a previously disabled password.

  5. If Edit is chosen, make the changes and tap on Save.

  6. If Disable or Delete is chosen, tap on Confirm.

Any devices previously using the password before it was changed, disabled, or deleted will be disconnected from the Plume Home WiFi network.

Note: If you only have one Home password, the Disable and Delete options will not be available.
