Create a new WiFi password for Home

Setting up a new network password

Updated over a week ago

The first password created during the initial setup is a Home password, although you can add more to the WPA2 SSID. Local network access to devices connected to the Home network can be selectively shared with devices connecting with a Guest password.

Note: Multiple Passwords are not supported for the WPA3 SSID.

  1. Open the Network page.

  2. Tap on the WPA2 Passwords tile under the Connectivity tab.

  3. With the Home tab selected tap the Create home password button.

    • The Create home password button is only available for the WPA2 SSID.

  4. Enter a new password and then tap on the Create button.

    • Passwords need to be 8-63 characters long.

    • Combinations of upper and lower-case letters, numbers, and special characters will make the WiFi password more secure.

    • WiFi passwords cannot contain the following characters: ö,ä,ü,ß
