Introduction to Focus

What is a Focus?

Updated over a week ago

Focus lets you pause internet access for people, device groups, or individual devices to manage screen time and encourage offline activities. Focus can also pause internet access for specific applications, application categories, or websites to manage when certain content can be consumed by you and all members of your household. This will help reduce distractions and improve the productivity of those working and studying at home.

Internet Freeze schedules

Most Internet Freeze schedules previously created using the HomePass app will now be shown as a Focus in the Plume Home app, with a few exceptions.

Creating a new Focus

Before creating a Focus, you’ll need to create Profiles for People or Groups. A Focus can be assigned to individual devices assigned to a Person or Group; however, it cannot be applied to unassigned devices.

  1. A new Focus can be directly created from the Home page (if there are no Focuses), a Person's or Group's Profile, or an assigned device’s detail screen.
