A red light on your eero indicates that your device is offline, there are a few steps you can take that may resolve it before you'll need to contact us.
Let's work out if it's your Gateway device or the additional eero device(s)
Gateway: The eero device that you set up initially, that connected to your ONT, is your Gateway eero device
Additional eero device(s): Any other eero devices that extend your signal
Gateway devices
Check the power
Check that your ONT is plugged in, switched on and lights working.
Check the Ethernet connection
Check that your gateway eero and your ONT are both connected via Ethernet and that the cable is plugged in properly to both devices. It should make a clicking sound when inserted.
Power cycle your eero and ONT
If everything’s powered and connected to Ethernet, you can try power cycling your eero.
Unplug it and re-plug it into power.
Then wait until it fully boots back up – this should take about 2 minutes.
Still not working?
Try power cycling your ONT. If there’s an on/off switch, switch it off and wait for 30 seconds before switching it back on. If there is no on/off switch, unplug it and wait for 30 seconds before plugging it back in.
Wait until the lights on your modem and the LEDs on your eero are done blinking before trying to get back online.
