How to download and use the Cuckoo Support App

Updated over a week ago

We've got an app that should help us get to the root cause of any technical issue you might be experiencing. And if it doesn't help you fix it yourself quickly, then, it will definitely gather some info that allows our team to help you.

We recommend you download our Cuckoo Support app from your app store directly via the link below.

Or search for 'Cuckoo Support' and download it for free

From the home screen of the ISP Support app, stand next to your router and press Self-Test.

From the next screen, press Get Started.

This will now run tests to check:

  • Your Wi-Fi is connected

    • On or off

  • Your Internet is connected

    • On or off

  • Internet download speed

    • The speed that data can be downloaded from the internet to the device you're using at this specific time and location

  • Internet upload speed

    • The speed that data can be uploaded to the internet from the device you're using at this specific time and location

  • Wi-Fi quality

    • The device pings data to the router and back to check if it's being received as quickly as it's being sent. Even if the internet was down, this would still provide an accurate test result for your internal network speed. The app will then grade the results as poor/good/excellent and provide suggestions.

Last steps

Jot down the figures and go for a wander to where you think the speeds are slow. Use the 'Excellent/Good' results as a guide for performance in other areas of the house.

Remember, Wi-Fi signals are affected by a number of factors, ranging from, distance from the router, what your walls and floors are made of, and even other electronic devices you have in the home.

If the app identifies any problems, you will be recommended some articles in our Help Centre to help you solve the issue yourself.

Get in touch if you're struggling to get the solution you need, our team are always happy to help.
